Zero Carbon Investments
Strichen Solar Farm is developed by Zero Carbon Investments (ZCI), part of Decerna Group. ZCI takes renewable energy and storage sites from an empty field to ready-to-build, then sells them to investors who build and operate them.
Decerna Group traces its history back to the Distributed Energy division of the UK’s National Renewable Energy Centre (Narec, now ORE Catapult).
ZCI has taken 254.5 MW to ready-to-build across battery storage and solar, including five 49.9 MW battery storage sites in Scotland. Each project is held in its own company, and grid connection, land, planning and Gate 2 are handled in-house.
